Bet just released its list of nominees for the 2016 BET Awards that will be taking place at Microsoft Theatre, Los Angeles, California, on Sunday 26 June, and premiering across Africa on BET (DStv channel 129) on Tuesday 28 June at 19:00 CAT.

The two intrepid Zimbabweans managed to gather some footage and photos from the event which you can view below.
Comrades, someway , somehow we have found ourselves in Johannesburg covering the BET Experience Africa! It would seem that all the dreams we have been selling have finally found a willing buyer! While we are here we might as well feign some form of journalism and do some work.
The experience will culminate with an evening of performances from crooners Maxwell & Raphael Saadiq, Tamar Braxton representing the USA. Tanzania’s Diamond Platinumz and Nigeria’s Flavour will also be performing on the day.
