Saturday 7 November was a good day. Not only did we as the 2 Broke Twimbos finally have enough money saved up to enjoy a scrumptious pork pie but Castle Lite was also holding their first ever Extra Cold Block Party here in Harare. What made this event so special was the fact that entry was FREE. YES! FREE 99 people!
On a rainy December night Dan & I rustled up the little cents we had and made our way to the Zimbabwean Hip Hop Awards. After sweet talking several combi hwindis and doing things we would rather not repeat, we arrived at the Wing Wah International Restaurant , Casino, Conference Centre
The moment the news broke that South African house sensation Uhuru were making plans to be in Zimbabwe for a concert, Phil & I were extremely excited. Mostly because we like crowds for non-pickpocketing reasons, but also because the music is cool and we had another opportunity to fund raise.
Immediately, the "Get The 2 Broke Twimbos to Uhuru" fund was started up
