Return Of The Pack
2020 tried to end us but it failed, just barely.
As we return from our legally mandated podcast break as prescribed by the Online Content and Podcast Act of 2020. Without this legislation, we may have burned out completely.
Even during our break, we were not spared from more tragic announcements. One of the most tragic moments was the announcement of MF Doom’s death on New Year’s Eve. For those of you that do not know MF Doom aka Zev Love X aka Viktor Vaughn aka King Geedorah aka Daniel Dumile (take a wild guess about who may have inspired the 2BT akas) was a rapper born in the United Kingdom to a Trinidadian mother and 🇿🇼Zimbabwean father. Using the Law of Transitive Property and Dan’s reasoning, MF Doom is undoubtedly one of the biggest Zimbabweans To Do It Big. You can listen to Phil’s tribute to MF Doom here
Thank You!!
Before we get into the proverbial meat and potatoes we have to thank each and every one of you! Despite everything, 2020 was our biggest year ever on this podcast. We detailed some of the highlights in this Twitter thread.
Here are the highlights
Most donations from listeners
The hiring of a full-time producer
A bumper Skittles and M&M harvest
30,000 weekly listeners
250% growth
Amazon Podcasts launch Partner
All this was achieved thanks to you. Thank you 🙏🏿
But please do not stop supporting. As Zimbabwe plunges deeper into its economic crisis that is exacerbated by the pandemic we need your help more than ever to keep going. Recording remotely is more expensive as we need to buy more equipment and get better internet packages to have an actual conversation that is not filled with “can you hear me now” and “we just lost you” interruptions. Plus the cost of ZOOM and the ever-looming goal of getting Goddie a laptop. So please keep supporting via Patreon or PayPal.
Back Like We Never Left
So while we were gone we did a few recap episodes highlighting some of the best episodes of 2020.
Since our return, we have wasted no time in getting back into the nonsense.
Here Dan explains his holiday while we both give a detailed audio breakdown of the #BussIt Challenge
There is a very clear correlation between lockdowns and challenges; we conducted a thorough investigation for you! It is for science! Anyone accusing us of anything else is a filthy liar!
We also spoke to Dr. Norman Matara to bust some myths about treating COVID
