Shoko Festival Brings the Biggest Comedy Line-Up of the Year
Good news! The 2 Broke Twimbos will be partnering with this year's edition of Shoko Festival to be held from the 24th to the 26th of September 2015. The penniless pair will also be MC'ing on the Friday night, so come through and throw cans of tomato soup at us please.
Shoko Festival has always placed much emphasis on the comedy program, and this year is no exception as it will present the biggest comedy line-up in Zimbabwe for 2015 featuring Tol A$$ Mo, Deep Fried Man, Doc Vikela, Long John plus hosts Andrew Manyika and Simba Kakora. To add to the incredible line-up will be the Zambezi News live show, all to be held at the Zimbabwe Museum of Human Sciences.
Tol A$$ Mo has made a huge impact on the South African comedyscene, holding his own amongst some of the country’s best in a growing list of performances and appearances. He will share the stage with Zambezi News and Andrew Manyika on Thursday the 24th of September.
On the Friday Doc Vikela, Clive Chigubhu & Long John will rock the stage with Deep Fried Man, the South African Award-winning comedian’s quirky, clever blend of music and comedy has seen him established as a top South African comic in just over two years.
Local comedy sensation Doc Vikela says “They (fans) should expect the presentation of the evolution of Doc Vikela. The comedy line-up is very dope, and I am really excited to be sharing the stage with such celebrated names”
Doc Vikela & Simba Kakora who will feature in this monster comedy line-up will be hosting the Simuka Top Comedian show on Thursday afternoon during the festival. Zimbabwe’s leading satirical comedy show Zambezi News which just came off an international tour which saw Michael K, Outspoken and Comrade Fatso performing for audiences in the UK, Germany and Mauritius will be part of the local acts.
The Shoko Festival Comedy line-up in the past years where John Vlismas, Kagiso Lediga, Tumi Morake, Loyiso Gola & Chestermissing.
