Comedy Thursday Review: #TheStruggleIsReal
The Internet is not cheap. in fact, we at 2 Broke Twimbos often gaze in awe & reverence at those of you that are able to check your Twitter more than once a month (which is the frequency of times we get free promotional bundles).
This week however we managed to be part of the long-awaited return of #ComedyThursday. Now to those of you who may not be aware because you only recently got jobs and started earning enough to be able to open a Twitter account, #ComedyThursday is a long standing tradition on Zimbabwean Twitter that was started back in 2009 by @langamla . The reigns for the hashtag were then handed over to @TehnDiamond , @PhilChard & @DannythatGuy who helped keep it growing for about a year & a half. Sadly, like the founder Langa, Tehn & Phil got jobs & had to leave to the job of handing the hashtag to Dan.

This week was also special for #ComedyThursday in another way. For the first time we had prizes to give away to the best tweets on the night! This past weekend was the Soweto International Comedy Festival, and 2 Broke Twimbos were giving away tickets for the funniest tweets. Here are the winners below:
Standby for a review of the Soweto International Comedy Festival exclusively here on 2 Broke Twimbos, where Zimbabwe's own Carl Joshua Ncube was a performer! And stuff.
Early drop to make up for the missed week! The Twimbos are back with a fresh new episode, featuring frontline accounts from Nitefreak at Hinde, in-depth reports from Kigali, expert analysis of Sakhile Dube and Chidimma Adetshina's performances at Miss Universe, and shrewd diplomacy in their takes on the South African Mining standoff and El Salvador's gang prison. Enjoy!
